Pickleball is becoming more popular everyday, from normal people to your A-list celebrities, everyone seems to be picking up the sport! And why wouldn’t they? It’s super fun! According to Style Magazine, we’re seeing A-list celebrities such as the Kardashians, the Gates, and Emma Watson getting into the sport. The Today Show Cast even has a video of the cast trying out Pickleball, and Hoda Kotb says it best: “...it has all the things I love! It has tennis, it has ping pong, it’s right in between.” She’s right, and that’s a big reason why so many people love this sport! It has a combination between a lot of other fun sports: tennis, ping pong, and badminton! Not only that, but it’s an easy game to pick up! You can play it at any age, and it doesn’t even have to be played on a pickleball court! It should be played on the proper court since pickleball courts are a bit smaller and more specific to pickleball, but you can still play it on a tennis court. A handful of celebrities are reported to love playing pickleball according to Racket Sports World. The magazine explains that diCaprio plays pickleball all the time, and Keeping up with the Kardashians had a segment showing Kim using pickleball to break the ice about upsetting topics she needed to discuss with her sister, Khloe. Stephen Colbert is also reported to be a fan, displaying his interest by producing a show called Pickled, about pickleball! Matthew Perry, an actor known for playing Chandler in Friends, and Amanda Peet, who’s another famous Hollywood actress, also love playing the game. Them along with many others show how fun the game can be, and their very interest sparks interest among so many others.
Since all these celebrities are learning to love the sport, it’s hard for us viewers not to want to play the sport too, or at least take an interest in it.
